Dr Tim Demetriades

A University of Queensland graduate who trained at the Mater, Princess Alexandra and Wesley Hospitals in Brisbane, Dr Tim Demetriades is one of only a small number of dual qualified Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialists in Australia.

As well as being one of the owners of X Radiology Australia, Tim maintains an appointment as a visiting Radiologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he is heavily involved in registrar teaching and research activities including recent internationally recognised published work on nuclear imaging of renal transplants. He has presented to his peers at local and major national conferences. Tim is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.

He has developed expertise in imaging in general radiology including multislice CT, US, oncology imaging including PET, and MRI. Tim has a subspecialty interest in CT coronary angiography with accredited training both in Australia and internationally. He is skilled in minor interventional procedures.

With Ben, Tim is completely committed to the challenge of providing a friendly, accessible and expert service in radiology and nuclear medicine to their patients, referring doctors and other health professionals from their new Toowong premises.
